Central Region Championships

Under 11 Rachel Busby - the only athlete to set new club records this summer travelled to Grangemouth for the above championships and performed well up to her usual high standard. In the 800 metres she set yet another personal best, this time of 2:51.5 to end the season on a high note. Not finished there though she also ran in the 100 metres where she was timed at 16.5 seconds, the 200 metres (34.3 seconds) and the long jump where she cleared 2.89 metres. This ended a good season for Rachel and indicates that the two ingredients for success are regular training and regular racing. Both are necessary, either one on its own is much less effective.
