Press Report week ending 16th November

At the beginning of the month was the Allan Scally Memorial Road Relay in Baillieston. The men fielded one team which comprised of Bobby Young (30.58), John Foley (28.54), Michael Diver (27.48) and David Mitchell (34.10). They finished a credible 29th out of the 44 quality teams who took part.

Last weekend (8th) had six Clydesdale Harriers heading for the Garscube Estate off Maryhill Road to run in the Deloitte Glasgow University 5 Mile Road Race. This was a two lap course with several hills. First finisher for the club was Gerry Montgomery in 29.48, followed by John Foley (30.33), Brian Gallagher (31.39), Pamela McCrossan (31.48), Bobby Young (32.52) and Marina McCallum (35.51).

Also that weekend was the Glen Clova Half Marathon which took place in Kirriemuir, Angus. An extremely hilly but scenic course had new member Brian Reilly running a respectable 1.31.28.
