Sorry, Ladies!

Put it down to geriatricity! Or a senior moment! Or I'm becoming a serious amnesiac! I said in the last post that the Ladies were third on Saturday - they were second, a deserved second and brought credit and medals to the Club. So - Pamela, Ann and Fiona: sorry.

By the way I was at the Kelvin Hall on Sunday when a well known official informed me of the silver medals and said "And that girl who was your second counter, was she not a sprinter some years ago? I remember when our Sal ran for Clydesdale in the League as a second claim runner, she was the other sprinter." It was Graham Sword whose daughter Sally-Anne Sword (now Mrs Gary Condie) offered to run and jump for us in the League because her club (Strathkelvin Ladies) was not strong enough to field a track team while we had lots of excellent athletes in all four age groups (Under 13 - Senior) including Ann and her pal Lynn Hardware.
