Two Things

I have been asked when the Annual General Meeting is and Peter said yesterday that it was on the third Friday in April - that's Friday the 17th. All club members can go and all club members should go. It is the only time in the year when you can see the club's books, ask the right questions and generally hold the Committee to account. Put it on your calendar now and tell your social secretary that you will be out that night. But not for long - the meeting usually takes about an hour.

Second thing. When I lived in Killearn, my wife taught in Balfron High School and the two children went there. We had many very good athletes from the school over about ten years including the three Moore brothers, James Beaton, the two Dugher brothers, Robert Emmanuel, Helen Fallon and many others. The best was Graeme Reid who won the Scottish Junior Cross Country Championship and then in 2003 the Senior Championship at Linwood. Ali Hay who won the National on Saturday was a Balfrom High School pupil. I'm not sorry that we moved to Lochearnhead but if we hadn't ................
