Glasgow-Edinburgh Ultra Distance Race

Peter Halpin and Aileen Scott both took part in the ultra distance event on Saturday. Despite the weather forecast for rain and heavy winds, there was no rain and the wind was at their backs. Peter reckons he started off carefully but whatever, he caught up with Aileen and because they were on the same pace they ran together to the end. Twenty runners started, one dropped out and our representatives finished joint twelfth in 9 hours 48 minutes and 43 seconds. Well done to both runners and when's the next ultra?
