This morning I received an email from Gary Condie which read as follows: " Last Friday Scottish Athletics took the disappointing decision to remove the forum section of their website citing the protection of sponsors and public partners as their reasoning.
The forums were a valuable resource for everyone within the scottish athletics community to share and discuss information on competitions, training, coaching and athletics in general.
It is our opinion that the removal of the forum is a major step back for athletics in Scotland and therefore today we have launched a new forum website dedicated to athletics in Scotland:
http://www.saforum.org.uk"
The old forum was removed from the official website because it contained several strings that were critical of the governing body - and we can't have that, can we? A new forum board was set up but you had to register to contribute and that was too much of a hassle for most folk but it allowed sa to control who was contributing and also deterred many former contributors. SO - have a wee look at this brand new board, give it plenty of hits to encourage Gary and if you can be bothered, post something to help it get off the ground.
