Melantee

Prasad travelled as expected to Fort William today to contest the Melantee Hill Race. Detailed results will appear in due course but the story of the race is that our man held on to the field on the longish run in and took the lead on the hill. He actually walked bits of the hill, maintaining his lead and conserving himself a but for what he calls the 'mental steep descent'. He was 25 second up at the summit and about 50 seconds in front at the finish from Al Anthony and Brian Marshall.

The Melantee, the Half Ben and the Cow Hill Race were always well supported by the club and it's good to see a club member winning this one.
