Prasad

After running very well for a while then injuring himself in training down Ben A'an he felt that he would like to take part in the World Trials but .................. His ankle was a bit sore so he gave it a go but it was bad enough for him not to be near the front so with discretion being the better part of valour for now, he decided to save it for the Commonwealths at Keswick in September. Having been selected he only gets one run - nobody gets two any more - and that is in the uphill only on the Friday night. But like members from the past he is eyeing up the open race on Sunday where he can have a go at the times set by the Scotland team in the elite race. Back in nineteen seventy forget it, Phil ran in the combined international and open race at Bellahouston Park where he beat all the guys who had been selected (he hadn't been) and even big Bren Foster!
