Glen Rosa Horseshoe

The above race was held in Arran on Saturday. Two Harriers and two ex-club members were running and all did well. In a field of 115 finishers, Prasad Prasad was third in 2:30:04 which was 3 minutes 40 seconds behind the winner. His lack of local knowledge cost him at least second place - at the top of Goatfell the path splits into two with one being a bit more dangerous than the other. Prasad followed the leader on this path, changed his mind and then went back round the other way - he dropped to second and the local man in second was never going to be caught on the downhill. Michael Diver ran well to be sixty fourth in 3:34:46 which was more than two hours ahead of the last finisher who was clocked over the line in 5:39:32.
Former Harriers running were Don Reid running for Westerlands who was clocked at 3:07:07 and Gordon Pryde from Ochil Hill Runners in 3:19:06. Both were in the M50 age group.
