I returned from the wee holiday at the weekend to find that I had been elected unanimously as an honorary life member of Scottish Athletics. I had only found out that the Road and Cross Country Commission was putting my name forward on the Wednesday before I went away when Ron Morrison asked for some information. It's quite an honour and the award will be presented at the Dinner on 30th October in the Marriott Hotel. Arnold Black the statistician is also being made a life member that night. If anyone from the Club voted for me at the AGM, thanks, if anyone from the Club will be at the Dinner - I have a room with space on the floor for a guest!
Incidentally, I have seen no notice of the date or venue of the Club presentation this year - am I looking in the wrong place?

Just like to say Well done to Brian on the recent news that he has been made an honorary member of Scottish Athletics.
Ive only known him about five years but in that time i have found him to be informative and kind and has dedicated many years to the sport of Athletics.
Im sure all at Clydesdale wish him all the best on the presentation night and that we are all proud of you Brian.
