It is now September 1st! Information from a local councillor passed on the information that the track at St Peter's would be available for lets from 13th September and the advice was to contact Liz Coles in the Lets Department who has been a good friend of ours for many a long year. With any luck we will be in action on our own track from the middle of the month. No word from the Committee yet - they should use the blog more to keep in touch with the membership - but watch for the information.
This weekend is the one on which Aileen and Prasad are representing the country. Aileen in in Perth - a nice town and easy to get around in. Parking isn't a problem - just get to the Broxden Park and Ride, park the car for free and take the bus into the centre (£1 return). Broxden P&R? The big roundabout that you come to on the way up from Stirling had a road to the left by-passing the town and then heading for Inverness, on the right it heads for Dundee and Aberdeen and straight on, it goes to Perth. Shortly after leaving the roundabout in the Perth direction you get to the P&R car park. I'll head in to give Aileen and any other club runners taking part in the open race a shout. Why not have a good day out in a new part of the country?
We might not make it to Slovenia to see/cheer Prasad but our good wishes are there helping him on the uphill only course!
