Clydesdale Harriers had several races over the past few weeks. Most recent was the Buchlyvie Half Marathon on the 7th Gerry Montgomery ran well to finish fifth over this predominantly trail course in a time of 1.21.55 and was winner of 2nd veteran. Pamela McCrossan also ran well to finish as second female and first veteran in 1.30.12.
The day before was the KPMG Glasgow University 5 Miler run over two laps in and around the Garscube Estate in Maryhill. Fastest Harrier was Paul Carroll (29.18), followed by Gerry Montgomery (29.27), Iain Robertson (31.32), Hugh Laverty (33.05), Bobby Young (35.00), Robert Rossborough Jnr (36.01), Marina McCallum (36.09), Kevin Farmer (41.38), and Colin Gray (43.26).
The weekend before was the Allan Scally Relays (at Bannerman High School, Baillieston) where we had an incomplete team running. 1st leg was Pete Cartwright (33.35), changing to Bobby Young (33.43), then Colin Gray (41.34).
Lastly on the same day our intrepid marathon pair of Bobby Rossborough and Kath Scott tackled the mountainous Snowdonia Marathon finishing in 3.28 and 3.38 respectively.
