News Report w/e 16th January


On the 9th of the month the more junior members of Clydesdale Harriers took part in the Scottish Athletics Indoor League at the Kelvin Hall. The boy’s and men’s results first. The Under 13 Boys had Craig Butler running in the 60m (9.86) and throwing the Shot Putt (5.27m). Stephen Kane ran in the 800m (3.06.0). Andrew Findlay ran in the 60m Hurdles (14.17). Lastly Lewis Hay ran in the 200m (35.0) and jumped 3.14m in the Long Jump.

Under 15 Boys were Andrew Hunter coming 4th in the 60m (8.21), also in the 200m (27.2), and throwing 6.70m in the Shot Putt. David Campbell did really well coming 1st in the 60m Hurdles (10.41), 2nd in the 400m (63.7), and 3rd in the Long Jump (4.40m).

Under 17 Men had Tony Dolan running in the 60m (9.26), and the 400m (66.5). Connor Ewing ran in the 800m (2.30.9), also the 200m (31.5), and jumped 3.39m in the Long Jump. Lewis Wood threw well to finish 4th in the Shot Putt.

Under 20 Men had Jonathan Farrell running in the 60m finishing 2nd in 7.48s. He also jumped 1.40m in the High Jump and threw 8.49m in the Shot Putt (2nd). Peter Bowman ran in the 800m (2.08.7) coming 1st, then ran the 200m (26.6), then ran the 400m (57.7 and 2nd placed), and jumped 5.07m in the Long Jump. Ryan Nelson ran in the 800m finishing in 2.28.9.

Under 11 Girls had Caitlin Stuart running in the 60m and the 600m where she ran 12.61s and 2.50.6 respectively.

Under 13 Girls had Eve Kerr running the 60m in 11.41s. Kathleen Ewing ran in the 800m (3.29.3). Rachel Campbell ran in the 60m Hurdles (13.38). Ciara Devanney ran in the 200m (34.91). Jenny Kerr jumped 2.41m in the Long Jump and lastly Rachel Campbell threw 4.84m in the Shot Putt.

Under 15 Girls had Lauren Butler running in the 60m and the 60m Hurdles finishing in 8.82 and 11.76s respectively. Roisin McShea ran in the 800m to finish 3rd in 2.45.0.

Under 17 Women had Claire Reid running in the 800m (3.04.3), running in the 300m (49.6), and threw 5.73m in the Shot Putt.
