The name of Roisin McShea has been missing from the results recently - normally a regular racer I hadn't heard or seen her name anywhere. Reason? She has had rather a bad chest infection recently and with the weather that we've been having it hasn't really been a good time to shake it off. However she is now over it and ran in the 1500 at the Kelvin Hall on Thursday and was first female to finish. She has also decided to run in the 3K at Balloch Park tomorrow - we used to run the DAAA Championships there and it can be a seriously difficult course depending on how good or bad a mood the guys are in who lay the trail! Not so good is the news of former member David Panton who is now in his 80's and living in Bearsden. Davie had a fall before Christmas and broke his leg. We wish him all the very best.
