Message from the Club Captain - Paul Carroll

Sorry I've not posted anything recently but just like to say a few things.
The track, I think we all agree, has been a major success. John, Phil, Donald and Brian along with the 'new' guys such as Joe Higgins and Paul Ross etc. all deserve our thanks in making this such a success. Each week we seem to gather more interest and we've had a few new faces recently. Good. It all bodes well.
As for the regulars, we've all benefited from the sessions and its a million times better than the Business Park, the Reccie and the hill session at the Clinic !
Long may it continue.
Phil spoke to us all the other night re the Central/Southern league on 3rd July. We've a realistic chance of promotion to Division Two this year. Basically we need as many bodies out as possible that day to gain valuable points and win promotion. I believe the venue could be at Wishaw. Please try your best in attending and taking part. Even one event to take part in and gain points could get us there.
Recently we've had excellent runs from the Seniors at the Polaroids with some excellent Pb's. Its encouraging with the relays not too far away. Probably October with the Houston's or McAndrews would be a realistic aim for us all.
As I've said previously I'm not asking everyone to race all the relays but if you can make yourself available for one or more then that's fantastic and I thank you in advance !! I will try and give everyone as much notice as possible as to the ones we should be targeting.
The good news is we've still got three months or so to get us even faster and to give our rival clubs something to think about. The track will help us get there.
Now, Mr Hanratty I've said thanks for the help you've given us in recent weeks...so a nice easy session on Tuesday please !

Paul
