On Sunday was the fourth and final race in
the Polaroid Eyewear 10k Road Race Series. This took place in the Vale of
Leven. Results next week! Also that day was the second meeting in the CSSL
(Central and South of Scotland League) which took place in Dumfries. Clydesdale
Harriers young and old took part in the various track and field events.
Last Saturday two of the Clydesdale
Harriers ran in the Bearsden and Milngavie Highland Games 10k. Over the
extremely hilly course Gerry Montgomery ran well to finish 6th
overall in a time of 40.23, followed by Pamela McCrossan finishing as 1st
lady in 43.31.
Three days earlier was the Corstorphine AAC
5 Mile Road Race which incorporated the SVHC Run and Become Series. Fastest
harrier was Gerry Montgomery (30.35 and 2nd vet over 50), followed
by Hugh Laverty (33.09), Pamela
McCrossan (33.18 and 2nd vet over 50), Peter Rudzinski
(37.12), and Watson Jones (37.58).
The previous weekend had Michael Diver
having an excellent run winning the Saugh Hill Race near Girvan finishing in
25.05.
