On Sunday was the SVHC (Scottish Veteran Harriers Club)
Track 10k at Coatbridge. Clydesdale Harriers had four members taking part.
Fastest harrier was Paul Carroll who finished as 3rd overall in a
time of 35.22, followed by Pamela McCrossan (41.45 and 3rd Female),
Bobby Young (42.50), and Marina McCallum (44.46).
Straight after the 10k was an award ceremony for the Run and
Become Series. This was a competition which SVHC members could take part in.
All they had to do was take part in certain races throughout the year. The more
races you did the better! Paul Carroll won 1st Veteran Over 40,
Pamela McCrossan won 3rd position in the women overall and also won
1st Veteran Over 50, and Marina McCallum won 5th position
in the women overall and also won 1st Veteran Over 40.
Also that day was the Antonine Trail Race (approximately
half marathon distance) which had Anne Murray finishing as 4th
Female overall in a time of 1h 55m over the hilly off-road course near Croy.
The previous Monday had Tricia Stevenson running in the
Chicago Marathon and having a good run to finish in 4h 18m.
