Peter's Blog

Thanks to Peter for putting up the blog about the last committee meeting - I realise that for reasons of confidentiality the Minute in its entirety cannot be posted - it's not like sticking it up on a notice board in a club changing room which is reasonably private. The word about financial help to the thre men going to Gothenburg is very encouraging: it's good to see their initiative being supported in such a practical fashion.
The number of new members is also a good sign - it would be interesting to see the number of new and returned members for the last three months compared with those from the same period last year. There should be more in the not too distant future.
I was also pleased to see that the celebration of the club's 125th anniversary, albeit a year late, is being progressed. I would hope that the number mentioned in passing at the AGM of catering for about 50 would be revised in an upward direction. I would think that you could sell 50 tickets at St Peter's on a Tuesday without trying too hard. Former members such as Billy Hislop ( a runner, a committee member who was president in centenary year and a very good coach) would be glad to come along and it would be a good night. I look forward to more information coming on. Thanks, Peter for the blog.
