Last Tuesday was Clydesdale Harriers’ own race - The Sinclair Trophy - which had almost twenty of its senior members taking part. It was a two loop course around North Drumry – total distance 5.4 miles. In warm conditions many good times were recorded. Full results as soon as they become available. Pictures of the race are on the website in the Blog (www.clydesdaleharriers.co.uk).
The previous Sunday was the Girvan Half Marathon which had Pamela McCrossan finishing as 1st veteran over 45 in a time of 1.31.52 over the extremely hot and hilly course. This was followed by Stephen McKee (1.58.15), and Evelyn McKee (2.08.30).
Also that day was the Crieff 10k which had Prasad Prasad winning the race outright in a time of 33.08, followed by Pete Cartwright (46.22).
A few days before was the Bridge of Earn 5 where again Pete Cartwright ran well to finish in 33.08.
Lastly on the 3rd of the month was the Central and Southern League Match 3 at Wishaw. Excellent results were recorded from young and old alike, and the club, thanks to all its hard work in all three matches over the past few months, won promotion to Division 2. This means all members will have to work harder than before to stay in the Division for next years matches!
