News Report weekended 16th June

The weekend of the 8th had several races being raced by Clydesdale Harriers. In extremely hot and sunny conditions, the first was the Killearn 10k Trail Race. Fastest harrier was Martin King who ran the hilly course in a time of 43.13, followed by Fiona McCue (45.14 and 2nd Female), and Gerry Kane (50.02).
On the same day, slightly further afield, was the Isle of Skye Half Marathon which had Paul Carroll finishing as 7th male in a time of 1.22.31, followed by Hugh Laverty (1.35.30), and Marina McCallum (1.37.33) over the hilly course.
The next day was the Polaroid Eyewear Vale of Leven 10k. Fastest harrier was Donald Cameron (36.03), followed by John Fox (37.40), Nicola Pearson (40.50 pb and 1st Junior), Paul McKendry (41.49), Brian Reilly (42.28), David Mitchell (46.55), Stephen McKee (49.05), Colin Gray (49.14), Mairi Fox (50.30), and Evelyn McKee (55.17).
The previous Wednesday was the Corstorphine 5 Miler which had Pete Cartwright running the hilly course in a time of 35.23.
Next races for the club include the Kirkintilloch 10k (Thursday 20th), the Brian Goodwin Memorial 10k (Friday 21st), and the CSSL track and field meeting at Wishaw (Saturday 29th)
