Press Report week ending 15th March 2009

The Clydesdale Harriers were a force to be reckoned with in last weekends Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon. Prizes galore were won. First finisher for the club was Brian Gallagher (TBC) finishing well up on the field. Next Harrier to finish was Bobby Rossborough (1.25.19), followed by Pamela McCrossan (1.29.10 second lady overall and winner of first Dunbartonshire Lady), then Brian Reilly (1.29.42), John Foley (1.33.11), Fiona McCue (1.34.22 pb), Anne Murray (1.34.52 first veteran over 40), Christine Duncanson (1.41.55) and Watson Jones (1.45.12). Pamela, Fiona and Anne were also winners of first ladies team and first Dunbartonshire team prizes. The women are truly a force to be reckoned with at the moment and it’s proof that all the hard training they are putting in is paying dividends!

Also that weekend we had John Kennedy coming back to full fitness running the Deuchary 18k Hill Race finishing 6th in a time of 1.39.07.

At Birnam Hill in Dunkeld we had Prasad Prasad winning this hill climb running over 2 minutes quicker than last year. Prasad also won the Glentress Duathlon (3rd in the series) the previous weekend.
