Ben Sheann

Because he had to work on Saturday and Sunday and would miss a Scottish squad meeting, Prasad ran in the Ben Sheann Hill Race on Wednesday and came out victorious in a time of 24:01. This was a minute and a half quicker than last year. For those who don't know the hill it is very steep with the first half of the ascent being through trees that come very close to the path with roots, etc all underfoor and branches which are at times very low down. He reckoned that the first bit through the trees was OK but on the open hillside the rocks were very slippery and the grass mucky especially on the way down. You'll be pleased to hear that the midges were not too bad this year - Ben Sheann is nototious for the beasties (runners have been known to faint through blood loss!)
