Press Report week ending 7th June

The Clydesdale Harriers were yet again in action in the Polaroid Eyewear Dumbarton 10k (third in the series) last Thursday. No less than sixteen of our runners took part. First Harrier home and 35th overall was John McArthur (35.39) on this flat and fast course, followed by Gerry Montgomery (36.10), Paul Carroll (36.23), Gary Dick (37.27), John Foley (39.18), Kath Scott (40.32 pb), Anne Murray (40.35), Martin King (40.48 pb), Bobby Young (41.25), Fiona McCue (41.48 pb), Brian Campbell (42.14), Alan Lorimer (42.46), Christine Duncanson (45.31), Watson Jones (45.55 pb), Heather Calderwood (46.31) and Colin Gray (50.29).

The night before was the Kilpatricks Hill Race (9.6k). Fastest Clydesdale and 1st veteran was John Kennedy (50.34), closely followed by the ever improving Michael Diver (50.59), Craig Calderwood (53.06), Jim Shields (63.55) and Marina McCallum (69.20).

The previous weekend (31st) was the Mens League (Scottish Athletics League) at Grangemouth. Results as follows:
