Scottish Schools Cross Country

It was a nice day for the schools cross country championships at Irvine yesterday, although a little windy. With each age group running different distances and each having a few steep climbs and descents to negotiate along the way, it was a tough test for all the junior Harriers who participated. Full results below;

Under 14 Girls 2400 metres

In a large (133 girls) and highly competitive field Rachel and Roisin ran well to finish in the top half of the field.

32ND Roisin McShea - 12 mins 03 secs
52ND Rachel Busby - 12 mins 33 secs

Boys Aged 14-15 years 4000 metres

A great run by Connor, despite a fall during the race and again in a large (90) and competitive field.

17TH CONNOR EWING - 15mins 53 secs

Boys Aged 15-17 years 5000 metres

Another solid performance by Tony Dolan to finish 70th in a strong field of runners.

70TH Tony Dolan

Boys Over 17 6000 metres

Again a great run by Peter Bowman to finish 14th from 60 runners in a time of 23 mins 23 secs.

Well done to all the Harriers who thoroughly enjoyed the day out and who were a great credit to their schools.
