CSSL League at Linwood

The Central and South of Scotlad League Match took place on Sunday at Linwood. the club's youngsters performed well and were third of the seven clubs at the finish. In a league where points are awarded for officials put forward, we had no fewer than six present - Raymond, Brian, Michael, Donald, Brian and Peter can all take a bow, they all did well through a long afternoon that started at 11:30 and finished just after 5:00pm. It was worth it however to see the spirit of the young athletes in the Under 11 and Under 13 age groups and those in the Under 15 and Under 17 age groups who can compete in some other leagues for Senior teams. the Under 20 Men were there in good numbers and with excellent weather the day was enjoyed by all. As I said we were third club - with only a few more athletes we could have been up in the first two and challenging for promotion so, if you missed this meeting, try to make the next one! Well done to all those who were there!
