Linwood open graded

It was a lovely night at the Linwood open graded where several of the junior athletes were in action, excellent performances all round and quite a few PBs noted. Results:

Under 11G

Caitlin Stuart - one of our youngest harriers continues to progress well, ran in the 800m, finishing 6th in a great time of 3:25:42 and competing in the long jump, 1.90m.

Under 11B

Stephen Kane - another one of our youngest athletes, making excellent progress and competing well on the night to be placed 3rd in the 800m in 2.59.07, which was very close to his PB and 4th in the 100m in 16.42 secs (which I think might be a PB).

Under 13G

Rachel Busby - continues to improve after missing most of the summer track season through illness and injury and ran impressively in the 100m be be placed 1st in 15.49secs (PB), 1st in the 200m in 31.73 (PB)secs and 2nd in the 800m in 2.52.31.

Under 13B

Andrew Hunter - excellent performances from Andrew who continues to progress well, with a PB in the 100m to finish 3rd in 12.85 secs, the 200m to finish 3rd in 26.83(PB)and a great jump in the long jump ,4.66m.

Under 15G

Roisin McShea - another consistent and excellent performance by Roisin who competed and finished 4th in the 1500m in a time of 5.18.66, who ran really well after unfortunately missing the Great Scottish Run 3K due to illness last weekend.

Under 15B

David Campbell - a superb performance in the 800m running a massive PB of 2.31.64 and finishing 1st in his heat. David also competed in the shot put, throwing 4.04m.

Under 17G

Claire Reid - a great run in the 800m to be timed at 2.46.25 to finish 3rd in her heat and an excellent PB in the high jump of 1.35m.

It was really nice to see the excellent team spirit on show from all the junior harriers so well done to all the juniors who competed at the open graded meeting, who are all looking forward to the last track event of the season, at the LAP on Sunday.
