News Report w/e 3rd October

Clydesdale Harriers were competing in several longer distance races recently. The weekend of the 26^th September had no less than two full marathons and one half marathon being contested. The half was at Dumfries where Gerry Montgomery ran a personal best time of 1.20.24, followed by Pamela McCrossan (1^st veteran) in 1.29.49. Slightly further afield was Kevin Farmer running in the Anglesey Marathon finishing in a time of 3.10.23. Lastly, over in Germany, was the Berlin Marathon where Bobby Rossborough ran a respectable 3.02.18, followed by Kath Scott taking at least 8 minutes off her personal best time to run an excellent 3.16.50.

The previous weekend had John Kennedy running in the River Ayr Way (41 miles) finishing as 1^st MSV (male supervet) in a time of 6hr 7m. This race was the last race in the 2010 Ultra Marathon Series and John was awarded the prize of 1^st MSV for running excellent times in the D33, Highland Fling, Speyside Way and of course the River Ayr Way, so many congratulations to him.
