News Report weekended 1st July

Last Friday was the Calderglen Trail Races in East Kilbride. Clydesdale Harriers competed in both the 5k and 10k races. Results soon.

Last Wednesday (the 27^th) was the SVHC (Scottish Veteran Harriers Club) 5k in Clydebank Business Park.  Gerry Montgomery was the fastest harrier finishing in a time of 18.16, followed by Hugh Laverty (19.15), Pamela McCrossan (19.19 pb), Pete Cartwright (19.34), Paul McKendry (20.58), Peter Rudzinski (21.45), Bobby Young (22.09), and Watson Jones (22.25).

The previous weekend was the Scottish Athletics Masters Championships at Pitreavie. The women ran 3000m and Pamela McCrossan had an excellent run to finish 4^th in 11.49 which won her the silver medal for the over 50 age group. Gerry Montgomery ran in the mens  5000m and was 5^th overall in 18.46 which won him the gold medal for the over 50 age group.

In the Brian Goodwin 10k on the 22^nd was Colin Gray finishing in a time of 49.25 over the Pollok Park course.

Lastly was the Division 2 Scottish Young Athletes League (YAL) at Wishaw. Results in age order. We finished fifth team overall:
