News report weekended 8th July

On the 1^st July was the Stonehaven Half Marathon which had Clydesdale Harrier Hugh Laverty running well to finish as 2^nd veteran over 50 in a time of 1.33.46 over the hilly course.

The previous Friday was the Calderglen Trail Races in East Kilbride. First off was the 5k which had an excellent performance from Anne Murray, winning the ladies race in a time of 19.05. She then proceeded to run the 10k ten minutes later to finish as 7^th Female in 48.28. Other times were: Donald Cameron (41.33), Martin King (46.20), Fiona McCue (48.21 and 6^th Female), Peter Rudzinski (53.25), Colin Gray (59.24), and Marie Rippon (65.50).

Many congratulations to Anne Murray and Pamela McCrossan who both were notified recently that they won prizes for their age in the Women’s 10k which took place in May. Considering there were thousands running this was a fantastic result for themselves and the club!
