News Report Weekended 14th October

Last weekend Clydesdale Harriers had the West Districts Cross Country Relay Championships at Kilmarnock. Results soon.

The previous weekend was the Neil  McCover  Memorial Half Marathon which incorporated the UK Masters Half Marathon Championships and also SVHC Half Marathon Championships. Excellent results were produced as always from all the harriers.  Fastest harrier was Paul Carroll (1.16.55 pb), followed by Donald Cameron (1.18.45 pb), Brian Gallagher (1.19.20), Kevin Farmer (1.22.34), Gerry Montgomery (1.23.21), Pamela McCrossan (1.28.09), Stuart Allison (1.29.16 pb), Hugh Laverty (1.30.24), Paul McKendry (1.40.03), Gerry Kane (1.40.23), Peter Rudzinski (1.40.32), and Colin Gray (1.50.44).

Gerry was 3^rd British master Over 50 and also won 3^rd Scottish Vet Over 50.

Pamela was 6^th Female and 1^st British Master Over 50 and also won 1^st Scottish Vet Over 50.

Also that day was the Erskine Bridge Buster 10k which as the name suggested took in a run over the bridge and back! Two harriers took part. Fastest was Alan Dick who finished second overall in a time of 41.29 followed by Stephen McKee.

This weekend is the Amsterdam Marathon and Half Marathon. Good luck to Donald, Kevin, Hugh, Stuart, Alistair, Marina, Christine and Shirley running the full marathon, and to Fiona, Martin and Marie running the half. All are expecting good times so good luck!
