News report weekending 21st April



Last weekend was the Virgin London Marathon which had four Clydesdale running in perfect conditions. Fastest harrier was Paul Carroll (2h 55m 26s), followed by Robert O’Neill (2h 58m 02s), Pamela McCrossan (3h 28m 55s), and Mark Barrow (running for charity in full ice hockey gear).

The previous weekend was the Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon. In less than ideal conditions (wet and windy) seven harriers braved the elements to take part. Fastest harrier was Donald Cameron (1.21.54), followed by Paul McKendry (1.33.43), Marina McCallum (1.35.56), Fiona McCue (1.36.22), Dewar Stuart (1.42.25), Gerry Kane (1.45.30), and Paul Broad (1.45.53).

The day before was the Lochaber Marathon which had Brian Gallagher finishing well in a time of 3h 7m 11s.

Next weekend is the Balfron 10k for some of the runners.
