On the third of the month Clydesdale Harriers took part in the Scottish Athletics Road Relays Championships at Almondvale, Livingston. We had two teams of six competing in alternate 3 and 6 mile legs. ‘A’ team had Peter Bowman starting strongly putting the team in fourteenth place (17.27), changing to Michael Diver (33.58), Gary Dick (18.36), Gerry Montgomery (35.43), Iain Robertson (19.15) and finally Paul Carroll (34.43) – final position was fourteenth. The ‘B’ team had Ryan Nelson starting (19.55), changing to Pete Cartwright (41.26), Brian Campbell (24.40), Bobby Young (42.18), Peter Rudzinski (22.55) and finally Peter Halpin (40.46) – final position fortieth.
Please note that juniors and seniors alike are now meeting at St Peter of Apostle High Schools on Tuesdays at 6:45pm for a 7pm start on the running track from now on.
