News Report w/e 4th September

Last weekend was the Great Scottish Runs (Half Marathon, 10k and Junior runs) and the Hilton Blackpool Half Marathon for Clydesdale Harriers. Results as soon as they become available.

On the 28th of last month was the Paisley 10k. Fastest harrier was Kevin Farmer (39.36), followed by Watson Jones (46.28), Yvonne Green (47.02 pb), Colin Gray (48.20), Stephen McKee (49.59), Evelyn McKee (62.48), and Sandy McDonald (62.49).

The day before was the Blythswood Care Drymen 10k, which took place over a hilly, mixed terrain route. Three harriers took part and finished as first, second and third female all finishing within seconds of each other. Fastest was Pamela McCrossan (42.39), closely followed by Anne Murray (42.58), then Marina McCallum (43.02).

The weekend before was the Achilles Heel Bella 5k which took place in Bellahouston Park. Colin Gray ran well to finish in a time of 23.16.

Also that weekend was the Bute Highland Games 10k where Pamela McCrossan won the female race in a time of 41.28. Also running was Michael Diver who finished well up on the field.

Lastly on the 18th was the Broadwood 5k. Runners were unfortunately led the wrong way at a point in the course so the distance run was 4.6k which was reflected on the times. Fastest harrier was Pete Cartwright (19.29), followed by Yvonne Green (20.51), and Colin Gray (21.32).
