Dunbartonshire AAA relays

An uphill and difficult course for the young athletes to endure at the Duchess woods, Helensburgh on Saturday

We had two under 11 athletes participating in the 1500m course

Stephen Kane had an excellent run to finish 5th boy overall in 7 mins 55 secs.
Eve Kerr also ran impressively to finish 8th girl overall in 9 mins 8 secs.

Kathleen Ewing was also due to take part in the U11 race but unfortunately took unwell at the start line.

U13G Rachel Busby ran really well to finish the 2.5k course in 10 mins 42 secs.
U13G Ciara Devaney also running impressively to finish in 11 mins 08 secs.
U13G Jenny Kerr also having a great run to finish in 12 mins 07 secs.

U15G Roisin McShea was also a casualty on the day, and unable to race as she took unwell shortly before the start of the race.

There were 2 junior male relay teams on the day for the 2.5k race.

In the first leg Clydesdale A team Andrew Hunter ran well 10 mins 35 secs, second leg Connor Ewing had a great run 8 mins 40 secs and Tony Dolan ran excellently in 8 mins 12 secs, to finish 4th team overall.

In the first leg Clydesdale B team Lewis Hay ran impressively in 10 mins 33 secs, David Campbell ran really well to finish in 9 mins 8 secs and Lewis Wood had a good run to finish in 11 mins 32 secs, to finish 7th team overall.

Well done to all the athletes who ran. Next Sat are the national relays at Cumbernauld for U13 athletes and upwards.
