Message from Club member - Mark Barrow

My 24hr Treadmill Challenge for Children with Cancer UK is confirmed and taking place on Saturday 11th February 2012 within the 24hr Asda in Clydebank.
I have been very lucky to gain support from not only Asda but also Lucozade, Clydebank Post, Subway, Gemma Doyle MP, West Dunbartonshire Council, MarathonTalk, Braehead Clan Ice Hockey Franchise, Yelling Performance (including Olympian and Commonwealth bronze medallist Liz Yelling), Playdrome Clydebank - Cosmopolitan Fitness and Blockbuster Video (Well I will need a few hours of movies and box sets to watch!!) and Drumchapel High Schools pupils, parents and staff.
All support will receive the right amount of local and national publicity.
If anyone has other contacts who may wish to be involved and able to lend support with equipment, food or donations please let me know. Likewise if any of the supporters wish to leave leaflets etc to promote something worthwhile, even their own business, then please just say.
If anyone is available during this attempt to rattle a few tins whilst keeping me company I would be very grateful and would timetable you in to a time that suits you. I am still to confirm the start time but it will be either mid day or 4pm for….well…24hrs. At this time I am swaying towards the 4pm start.
You can find out more by reply or logging on to www.justgiving.com/mark-barrow0.
If you want to help without moving from your chair then please spare a thought and text MARK68 £(your amount) to 70070.

As you can appreciate this is a huge challenge that will take a lot of physical and mental effort. With your support it will be a little bit easier.

With kind regards

Mark
