A message/update from the President

Dear Colleagues,
Here is an extract of some of the items which were discussed at recent committee meetings.
  1. We have now the use of the track at St Peter the Apostle High School on a Saturday between the hours of 11.00a.m. and 1.00p.m.. Please note that Saturday 30th June is not available to us as the school is using the track that day
  2. The committee is still awaiting confirmation as to when the junior presentation of prizes will take place.
  3. The club has placed an advert in the Council's school magazine which should be distributed to all schoolchildren in our area.
  4. Two long-standing members of the club have tendered their resignations. The club sends best wishes to Brian Edridge and Peter Halpin.
  5. The club has received an invitation to send a junior team to compete in an inter-club meeting with Helensburgh A.C. and Stornoway A.C. in September. The relevant coaches are seeking info on who is willing and available to travel before a final decision is made.
  6. The Clydebank 10K went ahead on Thursday 24th May and was a successful event. Thanks to all of you who gave their time with marshalling at the race. We have a spot prize still to distribute which the committee agreed to ballot among a select group of members who help out consistently at our races. The draw will take place on Tuesday 19th June.

Peter Rudzinski
President
