News Report week ended 5th August

On Sunday was the Helensburgh Half Marathon where Clydesdale Harriers had no less than 19 runners taking part with some excellent results. Results soon.

The previous Sunday was the Dundee Half Marathon where nine harriers competed. Fastest harrier was Donald Cameron running 1.24, followed by Kevin Farmer (1.28), Hugh Laverty (1.34.41), Stuart Allison and Alistair Greig (both 1.37.18), Marina McCallum (1.39.51), Shirley Greig (1.47.20), Christine Duncanson (1.57.59), and Colin Gray (2.00.01)

Previous to that was the SAL (Scottish Athletics League) at Grangemouth on the 15th July and the DunRen Open Graded Meeting at Linwood on the 18th July where the younger athletes had excellent results in all Track and Field events.
