News report weekended 21st July

On Sunday was the Dundee Half Marathon which started in Camperdown Park and finished at Broughty Ferry over a mixed-terrain course. Results next week.

The previous Sunday was the Girvan Half Marathon which had Hugh Laverty having an excellent run over the hot and hilly course. He finished as 1^st veteran over 50 in a time of 1.29.49.

The following night was the Irvine AC 5 Miler which had David Mitchell finishing in a time of 40.50.

Clydesdale Harriers are always looking for new members. Training nights are: Tuesdays at St Peter the Apostle High School meeting at about 6 :45pm in the main entrance for both Juniors and Seniors. Thursdays: Juniors and Seniors at Lussett Park from 7pm for grass sessions. Also the main Senior session is usually at East Thompson Car Park (just along from the school) from 6:45pm for canal sessions and road sessions on that same night. Sundays: Seniors only for long runs meeting at 8:30am opposite the Playdrome.
