News Report weekended 15th September

Last Sunday was the Kilmacolm Half Marathon and 10k for several members of Clydesdale Harriers. Results soon. On the Saturday was the Dumbarton Adventure Obstacle Trail Races “Over and Under” which took place at Overtoun Estate. As the name suggests it was an off road challenge with various obstacles on the route including cargo nets, fences, tyres, stream running, hills, water slides etc! There was a 10k, 5k and a 1 Mile junior challenge. In the 10k Anne Murray had a fantastic run to finish as first female and ninth overall in a time of 1.13.43, followed by Marina McCallum (fourth female in a time of 1.38.39). No harriers were competing in the 5k but Max Shannon and  Zak Shannon competed in the 1 Mile. Max finished in 14.23.  Unfortunately Zak was further ahead in the field and was sent the wrong way so ended up running more than the actual distance but still finished well up the field in a time of 18.18.

The weekend before was the Millport 10 Miler. Fastest harrier was Dewar Stewart (72.06), followed by Stephen McKee (82.50), and Evelyn McKee (91.40).
