Last weekend was the Scottish Athletics Trail Championships
at Falkland, Fife for Clydesdale Harriers. The women ran first over the 10k
scenic course. Marina McCallum finished well in a time of 50.15 over the hilly
course. Then it was the men who were running 15k. Michael Divers had a good run
finishing well up the field in a time of 58.51, followed by Peter Rudzinski
(84.02).
The second of the Polaroid Eyewear 10k Road Race Series
kicked off at Clydebank last Thursday. In almost perfect conditions. Fastest
harrier was Paul Carroll (35.03), followed by Donald Cameron (36.04), John Fox
(37.24), Alan Dick (39.53), Marina McCallum (42.18), Nicola Pearson (43.21),
and Mairi Fox (51.34).
The previous weekend was the SAL (Scottish Athletics League)
Division 2 at Grangemouth Stadium. Results are: A. Cusick - 100m (12.43), Andy
Hunter – 200m (27.51), Long Jump (5.57m), Peter Bowman – 200m (25.90), 800m
(1.59.22), David Campbell – 400m (53.94), Triple Jump (10.91m), Iain Robertson
– 800m (2.08.42), 1500m (4.34.39), Ryan Nelson – 1500m (5.03.31), Toby
Akinkumni – Long Jump (4.85m), High Jump (1.60m). They finished with the 4x100m
Relay (Toby Akinkumni, S. Freck, Ryan Nelson and D. Spark) in 53.85. The 4x400m
Relay had Peter Bowman, David Campbell, Ryan Nelson, and Iain Robertson
finishing in 3.57.27.
Thursday 30th is the third in the Polaroid Eyewear 10k Road Race Series which takes place in Dumbarton at 730pm
